Seulawah Agam Volcano is a composite or stratovolcano that has not shown volcanic activity for a long time. However, the eruption potential should still be monitored as the volcanic activity may occur anytime. Therefore, it is important to identify areas that could be affected by eruption hazards, both primary and secondary. Volcanic eruptions pose risks that can cause damage and threaten lives. This study aims to spatially identify and analyze the distribution and eruption hazard index of Seulawah Agam Volcano by determining Disaster-Prone Areas (KRB). The mapping of hazard potential and indices was carried out using Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data and KRB data as the main input for the spatial analysis based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This approach produces maps of the distribution of eruption flows and the range of potential eruptions, classifying areas based on hazard levels, such as flow zones and potential hazard fallout zones. The results of this study provide an overview of the hazard distribution in the affected areas and the hazard index based on the vulnerability levels of the regions. This information can serve as the foundation for developing effective mitigation strategies and risk management, enabling more targeted mitigation efforts to reduce the impact of potential eruptions of Seulawah Agam Volcano in the future. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
