Feed supplementation with probiotics is a sustainable strategy to enhance nutrient utilization, growth, and survival in aquaculture species, contributing to environmentally responsible shrimp farming. This study evaluated the effects of Streptococcus thermophilus and Bacillus coagulans, individually and in combination, as feed probiotics for black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon). The experiment was conducted from December to January 2023 using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications at a dosage of 15 mL/kg feed. Treatments were: P1 (control, no probiotics), P2 (S. thermophilus), P3 (B. coagulans), P4 (50% S. thermophilus + 50% B. coagulans), P5 (75% S. thermophilus + 25% B. coagulans), and P6 (25% S. thermophilus + 75% B. coagulans). ANOVA results showed significant effects (P<0.05) on growth and feed performance indicators, including absolute weight gain, specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), feed efficiency (FE), and survival rate (SR). The best growth performance occurred in P3, while the highest SR was recorded in P2. These results demonstrate that probiotic supplementation, particularly B. coagulans at 15 mL/kg feed, enhances growth and feed utilization in P. monodon, supporting sustainable aquaculture practices in line with SDG 14: Life Below Water. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
