The concept of a healthy campus integrates physical, mental, and environmental health to create a learning environment that supports the well-being of campus residents. There has not been much research that summarizes the development of healthy campuses in Indonesia. For this reason, this research was conducted to analyze the development of healthy campuses in Indonesia, assessing the implementation of policies, initiatives, and strategies implemented by various universities in Indonesia. This qualitative research uses a literature study approach to analyze healthy campus policies, initiatives, and practices. The results of the study show that several campuses in Indonesia have successfully implemented the concept of a healthy campus by developing campus green open spaces and energy efficiency policies. However, challenges such as budget constraints and lack of support from stakeholders still hamper some campuses in Indonesia. The main success factors in realizing the concept of a healthy campus are policies, infrastructure, and adequate community participation. The implications of the results of this study include the importance of policy improvements, investment in environmentally friendly infrastructure, and active participation of campus residents. Learning from international campuses shows the importance of integrating health and environmental policies as well as green technology in the implementation of the concept of a healthy campus. This research provides concrete recommendations to improve the effectiveness of healthy campus programs, aligning them with national and global agendas such as the SDGs to ensure that educational institutions in Indonesia can contribute significantly to the health and well-being of their communities. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing.
