Indrapurwa Mosque is one of the oldest and most historic mosques in Aceh. This mosque was built during the Aceh Sultanate as a form of the Aceh Lhee Sagoe defense area covering Indrapurwa, Indrapuri, and Indrapatra. However, the current condition is that the location of the mosque has become the sea, and a replica of the Indrapurwa mosque has been built in the local area. This study aims to analyze the shift in the value of the location of the Indrapurwa Mosque and examine the architectural values applied to the replica of the present Indrapurwa Mosque. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting observational data, documentation, and interviews. The data is processed using several theories. The results showed that the mosque had changed locations several times due to natural phenomena of sea tides which were also caused by the tsunami. The architectural value of the Indrapurwa mosque is not purely the same as the old Indrapurwa mosque, but it still contains traditional architectural values. © 2024 Author(s).
