The duration of power outages due to permanent disruptions in Aceh in 2020 still requires a long period of time for the restoration process, which is clearly not in line with SPLN 68-2:1986. In this paper, we proposed an effective scheme to increase System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) value by reducing duration of power outages that called Outage Managenement Automation Qita (OMAQ). The proposed scheme was implemented on radial configuration system Samahani-Sibreh. The proposed scheme was evaluated by Energy Not Supplied (ENS) and SAIDI value. The proposed scheme implemented the isolation scenario by isolating disruption sections from based system. The result showed that the ENS and SAIDI value was decreased using the proposed scheme. The results indicated that prior to the implementation of OMAQ, the ENS values for the Samahani-Sibreh feeders were recorded as high as 4894 kWh and 4282 kWh, respectively. However, after the implementation of OMAQ, these values significantly decreased up to 32 kWh and 28 kWh, respectively. Similarly, the SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) values for the Samahani-Sibreh feeders, before OMAQ implemented, were recorded as 7.48. Following the implementation, the SAIDI values experienced a substantial reduction, reaching 0.026. Based on the results, it was concluded that the proposed scheme reduced ENS and SAIDI value, significantly. © 2023 IEEE.
