Introduction: Clostridiodes difficile infection (CDI) can be induced by drugs such as antibiotics that interfere with normal intestinal flora. In Colorectal Cancer patients, CDI can develop as a result of the use of preoperative chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is known to have an antibiotic-like effect. Case Report: We present the case of a 79-year-old woman who came with watery diarrhoea accompanied by blood and pus which had used Proton Pump Inhibotor (PPI) for the previous 45 days. The results of the examination using C.diff Quik Chek Complete showed a positive Clostridiodes difficile Infection. Colonoscopy examination and Multi-Slice Computed Tomography (MSCT) Scan on the Abdomen described the presence of a mass of Colorectal Cancer. The patient received Metronidazole Antibiotic therapy for ten days to treat CDI and her clinical condition was improved, but she refused colonoctomy and went home for outpatient treatment. The patient reportedly died two months later without further treatment known. This diagnose was a colorectal carcinoma patient with CDI without a history of antibiotic and chemotherapy consumption. Conclusion: Thus long-term use of PPI plus comorbid conditions of Carcinoma and elderly might have a relationship with CDI. © 2020, Advanced Scientific Research. All rights reserved.
